Proverbs 31:10 Who can find a “Virtuos Woman” ? For her price is far above rubies.  The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.  She will do him good and not evil, all the days of her life.

Deaconess Cora Mae Martin Williamson Hayes was born to the late Mrs. Callie Miles Martin and Mr. Eddie Martin on June 30, 1930.  Cora Mae departed this earthly world to be reunited with her Heavenly Father, Her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Peak Resources of Alamance, Graham, N. C.

Cora Mae attended Pleasant Grove School and graduated in 1952.  She grew up in the Pleasant Grove Community. She was married to L. W. Williamson, who predeceased her in death. She has one daughter, Debra D. Martin of the home.  She also has twin sons Ronald Williamson (Vera) and Donald Williamson (deceased). (Donnell Hayes her second husband predeceased her).  She also had a twin sister, Lula Mae Martin Jones Clemmons, who pre-deceased her.  Her grandchildren are: Drew Williamson (Lauren), Brandon Williamson (Angela), Tiffany Williams, Donte Williamson.  Great Grandchildren are: Ameerst Williams, Jaden Williamson, Avery Williamson, Aubrey Williamson, Bailey Williamson, Connor Williams and Kynston Booker.

Cora Mae was a true woman of God.  She loved the Lord and she loved her family and Church family dearly. She was a life long member of Martin’s Chapel Baptist Church.  She joined Martin’s Chapel Baptist Church at an early age. She was12 years old when she joined Martin’s Chapel Baptist Church.  She was baptized in the Bud Arbor Pond in the Pleasant Grove Community. Cora Mae is the “Mother of the Church.”  Her Church Affiliatons are as follows:Deaconess, Pastor Aide Committee, Kitchen Committee, Missionary Circle, Life Long Member of the Martin’s Chapel Choir, Vice-President of the Choir and was one of the First Usher’s of the Church. Cora Mae has sponsored several Church Programs at Martin’s Chapel and Fund Raisers at the Church to benefit the Church.

During her life time she has worked in several capacities.  Cora Mae retired from the General Electric Company in Mebane, North Carolina with over 25 years of service. After retiring from General Electric she attended Alamance Community College and earned a CNA II License in Nursing.  She loved caring for the sick and ederly. That was her Passion.  She loved working in her beautiful flower gardens.

Cora Mae’s legacy, love and devotion will never be forgotten.
