Patricia Ann Poole Keel was born in Alamance County, NC on September 19, 1956, and from that moment on, she filled the world with her warmth, kindness, and determination. She was the daughter of the late Franklin Benjamin Poole and late Carrie Louise Royster Poole.
For over two decades, Patricia dedicated herself to her work at CKS Packaging Haw River, NC, where her tireless work ethic and infectious enthusiasm left an indelible mark. In 2014, Patricia was faced with the daunting diagnosis of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), a challenge she confronted with extraordinary courage and grace. Despite the hardships she endured, Patricia's courageous spirit never wavered. Throughout her battle with ALS, she found strength with the support of her loved ones "Patricia’s Faith Walkers."
Patricia's vibrant personality shone brightly in all aspects of her life. She had an enduring love for her favorite color purple, which reflected her own resilience and strength. Patricia found joy in the simple pleasures of reading her romance novels and listening to music, enriching her life with beauty and inspiration.
Above all, Patricia's greatest source of pride and joy was her family. She is survived by her only daughter, Latisha Poole Staten (Vernell), her beloved "Forever Love," Shawn Robertson, affectionately known as her "Boo”, and her adored grandchildren, Jordan Poole, Jakayla Spinks, Ayden Baldwin, her Godson Micheal Poole, her bonus grandchildren Idia (Laquentin), Devin, TeKeya, and Lil Tee, and her bonus great-grandchildren, Jaiyda, Julian, and Sky’Lr.
Patricia's memory will forever be cherished by her siblings: Billy Poole, Janice Poole, Anthony Poole (Sonya), Shirley Burnette (Jimmie), Brenda Bigelow, and Frankie Poole (Beverly). Adopted siblings Barbara Mitchell, Robert Mitchell, and Benita M Long. She leaves behind her memories with her Aunt Gladys Royster Thompson, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Patricia is preceded in death by her beloved dear brother, Bobby Poole. Although she may no longer be with us in body, Patricia's legacy of love, strength, and resilience will endure in the hearts of all who knew her.
As we bid farewell to Patricia, let us find comfort in the knowledge that she has found peace and rest from her earthly struggles. May her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration, guiding us to live our lives with the same grace and courage that she displayed until the end.
Rest in eternal peace, dear Patricia. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
