Stella Kaye Fowler was born to the late Roberta Clay Fowler and John Fowler of Burlington, NC on February 25th, 1956 . On Friday evening, April 12th, 2024, Stella transitioned to be with her Lord and Savior. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Sylvia Fowler, nephew Timothy Clay and great nephew Kani Clay.
Stella was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in November, 2019. She fought this battle with her courageous spirit, never giving up.
Stella grew up in Morgantown and sang in the Morgantown Young Adults Choir. She graduated from Walter Williams High and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems from the University of Potomac, in Washington, DC. She was the owner of Stella’s Family Care Home where she provided exceptional care for the elderly and disabled for many years before retiring. Although she never birthed any children, she loved spending time with her nieces and nephews; she was like their second-mom. She also loved her sports cars, westerns, boxing, tennis, and golf. A true sports fanatic.
Stella leaves in God’s care; her beloved lifetime partner of 24 years, Bradley ‘Brad’ Marsolek; a brother, Stanley ‘Pop’ Fowler, three sisters; Janice Clay Reaves, Glenda Carter (Clif), and Pamela Fowler all of Burlington, NC. She also leaves four nieces, four nephews, four great nieces, three great nephews, five great-great nieces and seven great-great nephews.
Stella was one of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. If she were speaking she’d say “I cannot imagine how you feel right now, but I am here for you, if you need me or you’d like to talk.” We all can still see her beautiful smile putting us at ease. It’s imprinted in our minds and many of us can hear her saying, “I’m here for you, if you need me.”
